SoliJet SMax-16 is a handheld large character inkjet printer based on Android system, aiming for outdoor coding and coding on rough surfaces like concrete pavement, bituminous pavement, building walls. Available ink colors include black, white, red, blue, yellow. SMax-16 is solid and reliable, weighs only 1.6 kgs makes it an ideal portable inkjet printer.
The operating system is based on Android and a powerful ARM processor, which provides a smooth operating experience.
In addition to that, the system also has powerful features like:

Besides the USB drive interface, you can also transfer files via a Wi-Fi connection.
Print Width (or print height):
The maximal print width is 2.36 inches (60mm)， the minimal print width is 1 inch (25mm).
Several nozzles in the print head:
There are 16 nozzles in the print head, which means you can print characters in 16 pixels.
There are four ink colors available: black, white, red, blue, and yellow.
It is worth mentioning that the white ink has a strong covering power, which is quite easy to get a clear mark on dark surfaces.
Different from the thermal foaming-technology-based inkjet printer, the print head of SMAX-16 is not a wearing part, and the print head and ink tank are separated design, you only need to replace the ink tank when the ink is used up, without replacing the print head, which makes the economy of SMAX-16 further highlighted.
The SMax-16 is designed for rough surface printing and outdoor usage, we equipped SMax-16 water-based ink and eco-solvent ink.
The water-based ink is for permeable materials like paper, wood, plasterboard, etc.
The eco-solvent ink is non-permeable materials like metal, glass, ceramic, plastics, etc.

The maximum distance between printhead and object surface is 0.315 inches (8mm).
This is a big printing distance, so SMax-16 is quite suitable for printing on rough surfaces, like concrete pavement, bituminous pavement, building walls.

To adapt this product to the complex and harsh environment:
- The roller mechanism of SMax-16 has been strengthened and can be long term used on rough surfaces;
- The whole machine adopts a high-strength injection-molded shell, which is strong enough and durable;
- The print head part adopts stainless steel material, no fear of friction, collision, and almost no nozzle clogging problem.
SoliJet SMax-16 weighs only 3.5 lbs (1.6kg), which is handy and portable, suitable for handhold for a long time.
The Smax-16 is used mostly outdoors, and long battery life is crucial, it has a high capacity lithium-ion battery, offering up to 8 hours of battery life.
